Our History

Brief History and Milestones :

• 1968 : OHASBAN (INDIA)  the parent company was founded by Mr. A E Lokhandwala (B.E.Mech) to serve the pressure die casting industry and  was  located at Bhayander near Mumbai
• 1996 : Arko Engineers was founded at Vasai near Mumbai to  make machined, coated and ready to use assemblies for our customer Ms Siemens Ltd.
• 1998 : Arko Engineers started exports to John Deere (USA)
• 2000 : Indirect exports (through our local customer) to Dodgeheller (Germany).
• 2003 : Arko Gets ISO 9001:2000 certification
• 2005 : Ohasban sets up new Pressure die casting factory  at Vasai.
• 2006 : Direct exports to Germany and The Netherlands
• 2007 : Direct Exports to USA First Closed loop Pressure Die casting machine installed
• 2008 : Added CNC turning machine. Tool room shifted to Vasai Works. Ohasban gets ISO 9001:2000 certification
• 2009 : 3D Design facility added on Solid Works.
• 2010 : 2 CNC drill tap machines added 4 axis VMC brought in for tool room Ohasban gets TS 16949:2009 certification
• 2011 : 420 Ton Closed loop fully automatic PDC machine added. 250 Ton and 100 Ton Zitai PDC machine added.
• 2012 : 75 Ton Hot Chamber machine added, Started exports to France
• 2013 : Die casting part design consultancy project for Evluma USA
• 2014 : Added 800 Ton Zitai Die casting machine with auto ladler and auto spray.
• 2015 : Construction of additional 2 floors in factory building, Started exports to Italy
• 2016 : In House Powder coating plant installed
• 2017 : Added facilities of Differential Pressure Testing and Vacuum Impregnation.Merged Ohasban into Arko. Set up a separate conventional machining facility close to Arko casting plant.
• 2018 : Added new LMW Smarturn CNC turning machine to increase the cnc machining capacity. Installed a 1.5Ton capacity goods elevator for G + 3 floors
• 2019 : Started exports to a new customer segment in Germany, consisting of a range of high volume parts with tooling, part machining, finishing and coating. Started work involving CNC, VMC, conventional machining, coating and assembly of ATEX enclosures with glass, rubber and hardware (final product to be exported to EU by customer)
• 2020 : Started manufacture and export of precision machined steel parts to USA. Started Exports to Sweden of enclosures for nuclear safety critical device.
• 2021 : Added New spark erosion machine. Hartford VMC updated with latest 4 axis controller.  Added 1 seat of Mastercam. Started a new project for Siemens Ltd including tooling, casting and machining.
